The weekend brought a full list of activity. We woke early on Saturday, after a great Friday night football game, because Amy had to be at work, Breya had to be at volleyball, and Nate needed the van to drop off the other kids at their activities. So Jay drove Amy to work, Breya to volleyball, and back home again. Once all the morning running-around was over Amy and Jay made their way to Somerset for the wedding of a student of ours, who's parents were also part of our small group.
The wedding was wonderful. It's also surreal to watch our student grow up and get married. Makes us think about how old we're getting. Nevertheless, it was a great time as not only did we get to witness the wedding, and the start of a new marriage, but we were able to visit with so many good friends from our small group.
So was so good to catch up with everyone, hear about what God's been doing in their lives, and share how our kids are growing up. Our small group was such a vital part of our lives and ministry while we were in Somerset. In so many ways, we felt like we were part of a community similar to what we see in Acts 2. We experienced life together, and it was sweet.
The vlog is a shorter vlog, and only a small wind of our day. But as I (Jay) edited the footage, I was reminded of God's blessing over the years. He has always provided what we needed when we needed, and given us great friends along the way.
